Hi Unifacers,

Uniface C/S environment.

The Rich Edit Box available in Uniface is NOT supporting images. I googled a bit and it seems the original Window Control it is supporting them. Is there a way to force the Uniface Rich Edit Box to accept images when an RTF file is directly loaded into it with ^INS_FILE keyboard command or is pasted from another document?
...NO, I do NOT need to print that RTF field ( at least for time being!).

As an alternative: I've looked also to include Wordpad as an OCX control but with no luck.

HTML widget cannot be an alternative here...

Any tips, trick, hint or similar experiences? Thanks in advance for any input!

Regards,
Gianni

      Hi Gianni

      Is it OLE Container feasible?

You can retrieve/store it, and show contents within Uniface. Although I think it needs to open Wordpad to edit, paste new content.

      Hi Gianni,

Short answer to your first question: no, there is no way to force the Uniface Rich Edit Box to display images.

I know of one customer, who is using the TX Text Control ActiveX (or at least was using it in the past) to display RTF documents. AFAIK it's not for free, but maybe they have a trial version for you to test?

Another alternative could be to create your own OCX user control that can display RTF documents with images. But that's more an option for "advanced" users...

      I hope this helps.

      Daniel

        Hi Daniel,

        thanks for your quick answer.
Creating a new OCX control is outside the perimeter of my current project: I should use what I have already available.

        Gianni
