Hi all,

the html widget (Uniface 9.7.04) has several problems when it has to access some websites, perhaps also because the CEF3 3.2454.1344 version integrated in the widget is a bit obsolete.

Are there any other systems for integrating a browser into a Uniface application? For example using an activex ?

Many thanks

Luigi

      Hi all,

going to the root of the problem the difficulties encountered are substantially those that concern sites that can only be reached with HTTPS, sites that require the presence of certificates, .
I found that on another occasion it was already answered that access via HTTPS from version 9.7.02 onwards is possible only if you have regular certificates installed locally or on the server.
Apparently for now there are no other solutions.

      Regards

      Luigi

        Hi Luigi,

Could you roughly list those issue you've found?

CEF3 version 2454 is from december 2015; it was updated following SPR #31403.
        AFAIK latest CEF3 versions are 3865 / 3904.

        Gianni

          Hi Luigi

The issue with using an activex is that, as far as I know, you are on IE (or Edge?), still suffering compatibility issues, even if Microsoft reduced the gap with other main browsers.

We also have issues with the HTML widget, and asked for an update of the CEF contained in next Uniface versions (as the current version 10 didn't seem to update for the occasion).

          Regards,

          Richard
